Ayah 1
69:1The Inevitable Reality -
Ayah 2
69:2What is the Inevitable Reality?
Ayah 3
69:3And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?
Ayah 4
69:4Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity.
Ayah 5
69:5So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].
Ayah 6
69:6And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind
69:7Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
Ayah 8
69:8Then do you see of them any remains?
Ayah 9
69:9And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.
Ayah 10
69:10And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].
Ayah 11
69:11Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
Ayah 12
69:12That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.
Ayah 13
69:13Then when the Horn is blown with one blast
Ayah 14
69:14And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow -
Ayah 15
69:15Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,
Ayah 16
69:16And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.
Ayah 17
69:17And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].
Ayah 18
69:18That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.
Ayah 19
69:19So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!
Ayah 20
69:20Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."
Ayah 21
69:21So he will be in a pleasant life -
Ayah 22
69:22In an elevated garden,
Ayah 23
69:23Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.
Ayah 24
69:24[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past."
Ayah 25
69:25But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record
Ayah 26
69:26And had not known what is my account.
Ayah 27
69:27I wish my death had been the decisive one.
Ayah 28
69:28My wealth has not availed me.
Ayah 29
69:29Gone from me is my authority."
Ayah 30
69:30[Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him.
Ayah 31
69:31Then into Hellfire drive him.
Ayah 32
69:32Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him."
Ayah 33
69:33Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great,
Ayah 34
69:34Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor.
Ayah 35
69:35So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend
Ayah 36
69:36Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;
Ayah 37
69:37None will eat it except the sinners.
Ayah 38
69:38So I swear by what you see
Ayah 39
69:39And what you do not see
Ayah 40
69:40[That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger.
Ayah 41
69:41And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.
Ayah 42
69:42Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.
Ayah 43
69:43[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
Ayah 44
69:44And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,
Ayah 45
69:45We would have seized him by the right hand;
Ayah 46
69:46Then We would have cut from him the aorta.
Ayah 47
69:47And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.
Ayah 48
69:48And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.
Ayah 49
69:49And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.
Ayah 50
69:50And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.
Ayah 51
69:51And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.
Ayah 52
69:52So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
